Indian Nanoelectronics User Program
The Indian Nanoelectronics Users Program (INUP) is a unique activity jointly run by the Centers of Excellence in Nanoelectronics at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB). Through INUP the facilities created under CEN will be made available to the external users. The program strongly encourages the external users to utilize the facilities.
Vision:
- To spread expertise and competence in Nanoelectronics
- To facilitate and support the generation of expertise and knowledge in nanoelectronics through participation and utilization of the facilities established at the Centers of Excellence in Nanoelectronics at IISc and IIT-Bombay by external users.
Objectives:
The support of the project "Centres of Excellence in Nanoelectronics" by DIT, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISc) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB) has enabled the process of creating a significant infrastructure, which will promote research and training in the area of nanoelectronics in India. Although the major focus of this project is research and training of in-house researchers and students at these Institutes, the facilities created under such a national initiative must also be available to researchers and students from other institutions, laboratories and industry. INUP is initiated to meet this goal with the following stated objectives:
- To impart hands-on training in nanoelectronics to researchers from other institutions in the country and help train researchers in Nanoelectronics.
- To assist in the initiation of research in Nanoelecronics by enabling the execution of the work of the external users at these centres.
- To collaborate with research teams at other Indian centres and develop joint programs in Nanoelectronics.
- To provide a platform for researchers in Nanoelectronics to come together and benefit from complimentary expertise.
- To conduct workshops for the wider dissemination of the knowledge in the area of Nanoelectronics.
